The defender of Aston Villa Tyrone Mings was appointed among the board of directors of the Euro 2028 responsible for organizing the master event.
The tournament will be co-organized by England, the Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and Mings will join the Board of Directors of UK & Ireland 2028 Limited, the company responsible for local delivery of UEFA Euro 2028, to count immediately.
The 32 -year -old man will assume his new role alongside his game functions at Villa, who compete for the first four in the Premier League and meet PSG in the quarter -finals of the Champions League in April.

Mings, who began his senior player career playing non-Ligue for Chippenham Town and Yate Town, was part of the England team who finished second at euros in 2021.
He has been a villa player since 2019 and, alongside John McGinn, is one of the two remaining players of the team who won the championship promoting the same year. Mings made 18 appearances for the three lions.
Mings will sit alongside three non -executive independent directors who will help organize the tournament alongside football associations for each host nation.
He will work with Debbie Hewitt, president of the Board of Directors of the United Kingdom and Ireland 2028, lawyer Susan Aherne, specializing in sports law, and Alan Stewart, former financial director of Tesco and Marks & Spencer.
