Liam Fetus, Vice-President of Openai’s research for post-training, leaves the company to found a startup in materials science.

The company of Fetus will compete with Google Deepmind, Microsoft and others in the science space of emerging materials. In 2023, Deepmind said that his AI system, gnome, Found crystals that could be used to make new materials.
