The increase in the 25% rate of President Donald Trump on all steel and aluminum imports officially made vigor on Wednesday, the last decision of the administration’s plans to reshape global trade standards in favor of American manufacturing.
Trump’s action to increase protections for American Steel and aluminum producers restores efficient world rates of 25% on all imports of metals and extends tasks to hundreds of downstream products made from metals – everything, nuts and bolts with Bulldozer blades and soda cans.

He fell these plans after the Prime Minister of Ontario, Doug Ford, agreed to suspend the decision of his province to impose an additional 25% on electricity exports to the States of Minnesota, Michigan and New York until the American rates were deleted.

Most of the American exchanges of Canada remain as a franchise of rights under the USMCA trade agreement that Trump signed in 2020, but it continues to complain about the high rate of Canada for dairy products.

Last week, Ottawa won a month’s stay for exports in accordance with the USMCA for general prices of 25% of Trump for Canada threatened with fentanyl traffic.

China remains the two suppliers of aluminum and aluminum goods, but already faced with high prices to counter dumping and alleged subsidies, as well as a new 20% price that Trump imposed in the last month during fentanyl traffic.
