Mikel Arteta conceded that Arsenal drew too many matches to seriously challenge Liverpool in the title race of the Premier League after having taken place at Goodison Park by Everton.
Arsenal had the chance to reduce Liverpool’s advance to nine points with victory against the Rivals of the Reds Merseyside, and they took the lead in the 34th minute thanks to Leandro Trossard.
However, the Gunners were torn off four minutes in the second half when Iliman Ndiaye converted the penalty four minutes after the second half after the referee ruled Myles Lewis-Skelly had made a mistake on Jack Harrison.
He marked the 11th Arsenal draw of the season. Only Everton (14) appeared in more dead end. Liverpool, on the other hand, pulled seven games.
And Arteta recognized that their inability to transform more of their prints into victories is one of the main reasons why they are ready to finish second for a successive third season.
“It’s really,” said Arteta when asked by TNT Sports if their number of prints is too numerous.
“You have to win many more games, especially when there is a team that is constantly winning.”
Performance, Arteta added: “Well, especially with the result, very unhappy. Very difficult place to come. I think it’s very physical, very direct.
“If you are not constantly treated as well, you never get momentum, so it’s very difficult. We went ahead to finally find more control and try to generate more chances, but the start of the second half was very poor, we immediately gave the ball.
“We were just safe what we did, then the decision of the penalty comes. And it’s never a penalty for me, but we will take it from there. ”
With the take -off giving Liverpool the possibility of doing 14 points clearly with Victory against Fulham on Sunday, the title race is almost finished, and Arsenal will now focus on their quarter -final of the Champions League with Real Madrid holders, with the first leg on Tuesday.
The tastes of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were left on the bench before this match, but Arteta used his five substitutes in an apparent offer to help his players prepare for the visit of LOS Blancos To Emirates Stadium.
“Yes, that’s good, but we wanted the three points,” said Arteta about the involvement of 16 players.
“You want to get everything in the way you plan it. We have done a lot of good things in the game. We have managed to give many players for a few players, but we dropped two points.”
