Virgil Van Dijk has signed a new contract in Liverpool.
The current Reds skipper agreement expired at the end of the season, but he wrote new conditions that will see him stay in Anfield for at least two more years.
He told the club website: “I am very happy, very proud. There are so many emotions that are going through my head right now.
“It is a proud feeling, it is a feeling of joy. It’s just incredible. The trip I have had so far in my career, to be able to prolong two years in this club is incredible and I am so happy. ”

The news was widely expected after the Netherlands international confirmed that last week, progress was made after a long period of negotiations.
Van Dijk joins Mohamed Salah by committing his future in Liverpool after the Egyptian striker signed a new agreement last week.
The 33 -year -old man was linked to a move to Saudi Arabia, but said that his first choice was still on the Merseyside.
He added: “It was always Liverpool. That was the case. It was always in my head, it was always the plan and it was always Liverpool.
“There was no doubt in my head that it is the place where to be for me and my family. I am one of Liverpool. Someone called me the other day an adopted scourp – I am really proud to hear these things, it gives me a great feeling.”
Van Dijk joined Liverpool de Southampton in 2018 for 75 million pounds Sterling – a world record then for a defender – and was undoubtedly the first center of European football in the last seven years.
He made 314 appearances for Liverpool and helped them win the Premier League, the Champions League, the FIFA club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and two championship cups.
