The specifications are not naked but are far from luxury; The 14 -inch touch screen has a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, and the system is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 268V processor. It is a few steps from the basic processor model, but always a step of high -end options that you generally find at this price. The 32 GB of RAMs are fair, but the 512 GB semiconductor reader feels Chintzy for money, although this may be a recognition that most professional users will be based strongly on cloud or server storage. The ports are acceptable: three USB-C with the USB4 support and a single USB-A port (with a rocking cover). You will need one of these USB-C ports for the load.
Given the above specifications, I was surprised that the performance is generally low, more in accordance with a real entry-level configuration than the G1I includes. None of the references that I ran was no longer impressive than what I saw on slower and cheaper machines performing intel core ultra 7 series 2 processors, and many of the scores I saw were lower, even these levels without inspiration, although slightly. I suspect that the general costs of wolf safety features give the unit a slight safe blow which, although not serious, can be more visible when setting up the laptop under heavy loads.
The battery life on a full -screen YouTube reading touched a little more than 14 hours, a decent score, and I was impressed by the completely silent operation of the laptop; I could not bring the fan in, whatever the load of my load on the device. The speakers are well and the screen looks pretty good, but none was blown away my socks. I appreciated the keyboard on the device, which has just enough trips and responsiveness to facilitate data entry, while being quite silent. The touchpad is spacious but just unless you are too large.

As for most laptops today, AI is a major objective for the EliteBook line, and HP AI Companion, the company’s own GPT-4O skin, is preinstalled on the unit. AI Companion claims to allow you to take full advantage of the neuronal processing unit on board, although it requires an active internet connection to work and was not faster than the online tools available. You also get a double AI duty here, because pressing the Copilot button on the keyboard always lifts a standard Microsoft Copilot interface.
The temporary selling price of $ 1,999 makes the EliteBook Ultra G1i a better deal, but it still does not measure on a price basis for competing systems. However, it offers a much stronger value proposal for its safety and management advantages, but once again, I doubt that many of these features have many public services outside major corporate environments.
