Netflix has unveiled its new television experience which presents AI generative research, recommendations based on AI and improved design.
In a press conferenceElizabeth Stone, director of chief products, and director of technology Elizabeth Stone removed the curtain of the new Netflix television experience – a simpler, easier and more intuitive – design to help our members easily find something great to look at.
“The new Netflix TV experience is always the one you know and like it – just better,” Kim said in a statement.
The many technological innovations have also been highlighted over the years – from Open Connect, our best content delivery network, to our best personalized recommendations.
The company said that it would use open AI models that its team will train for its own purposes of generators, but Netflix did not say how it would protect users against the meeting of material protected by copyright on an open AI.
Stone declared in a press release: “One of the reasons why I joined (and why I am) is because this company has always had a unique ability to marry incredible technology with incredible entertainment. It is our superpower. Obviously, it all starts with big programs and films that people like. But if you think of all areas where Netflix has a great advantage – our recommendations – our. technology allows all these things. “
In the coming weeks and months, Netflix members around the world will be able to discover the updated television home page for themselves.
Kim explained: “When we started thinking about this project, we wanted to create a more flexible experience for our large entertainment offers, more intuitive and reactive to the needs of our members, and capable of raising the most exciting moments on Netflix.”
New features

Discover your next big watch more easily: We put all the information you need to make an informed choice on what to look at before and in the center. In this way, you can better focus on what makes each title relevant for you, with calls like “Winner Emmy Award” or “No. 1 in television shows ”.
More visible shortcuts: Until now, shortcuts to research and my list were somewhat hidden on the left side. We move them at the top of the page where they are more visible and easier to access.
Better real -time recommendations: we make the recommendations on the home page more sensitive to your moods and your interests at the time.
High design: The new home page has a clean and modern design that better reflects the high experience you expect on Netflix.
The mobile experience also obtains new features:
A new way of looking: We also explore ways to bring a generative AI to the experience of discovery of our members, starting with a research function on iOS which is a small beta version. This will allow members to search for programs and films using natural and conversational sentences like “I want something funny and optimistic”.
A new way of discovering: In the coming weeks, we will test a vertical flow filled with clips of Netflix emissions and films to make discovery easy and fun. You can press the whole program or film immediately, add it to my list or share with friends.
Stone has wrapped the presentation of Saing: “What is most exciting for me is how our new television experience gives us the opportunity to evolve and innovate more easily in the future. This is how we will let people Netflix know even better. And this is how we will continue to connect them with even more emissions, films and games they will love.”
