Denys Berinchyk will have his WBO light weight title this evening in his defense against Keyshawn Davis in their main event of 12 laps on ESPN & ESPN + at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York. The main card starts at 9 p.m. he / 6 a.m. PT.
Results
– average weight Vito Mielnicki Jr (20-1-1, 12 KB) and Connor Coyle (21-0-1, 9 KB) fought for a draw of ten laps. The scores were 96-94 for Mielnicki JR, 95-95 and 95-95. Coyle fought well in the third and four laps, launching combinations to take over on Mielnicki.
The rest of the fight was ugly, with Mieknicki moving, spicy and holder. All his goal was to prevent him from launching. Coyle landed the best shots, but the judges were sufficiently impressed by the defensive tactics of honeymoon to give him a draw. It is surprising that Top Rande put this fight on the main map because it was more a preliminary level competition.
– Super Flyweight Prospect Juanmita Lopez of Jesus (1-0, 1 KB) Eliminated Bryan Santiago (1-2-1) by a first round. Juanmita won a left uppercut that dropped Santiago. The referee then counted it.
– Light Light Abdullah Mason (17-0, 15 KB) marked a technical Knock-out of Manuel Jaimmes’ fourth round (16-3-1, 11 KB). Mason, 20, sent Jaies on the web four times with big strokes. Jaies was down once the turn two and three and twice in the fourth. The referee stopped the fight after the second Knockdown in the fourth. The weather was 1:55 a.m. from Tour 4.
“We want the belts, the world championship. We are there. Continue to do what I do, ”said Mason after the fight. “We are ramping on these titles. No names, come back right away. Once we are in place for these titles, that’s what we want. »»
– 2020 Olympian Rohan Polanco (15-0, 10 kos) destroyed Jean Carlos Torres (22-2, 17 KB) by a helping hand in the second round in Welter weight action provided for ten laps. Polanco dropped torres with a left hook high on the head in the first round. In the second, Polanco, 26, won a beautiful right hand which dropped torres like a bag of potatoes. Later in the round, Rohan connected to a left-right combination that downgraded, bringing the referee and waving it. The stop time was 1:40 of the second round. Polanco is another fighter on the map that looks like a better fighter than Keyshawn. Top Rank has great fighters who descend the pipeline.
– Prospect of Welter weights Keon Davis (2-0, 1 KB) eliminated Ira Johnson (3-3, 2 KB) in the second round of a planned four-round fight which took place during a weight fight at 150 pounds. The davis tagged 6’3 ″, Keyshawn Davis’ 23 -year -old brother, dropped Johnson with a body pulled in the second round. When the action restarted, Davis connected to a left to the body, followed by two strokes of the right to the head that dropped Johnson.
The referee then counted it. The time to stop was 1:38 in the second round. Keon looks more impressive in this performance than any of the three Davis brothers and much better than Keyshawn. Keon is more pure puncture, and he gets a lot of power on his blows. He was not a big lover, but he looks exceptional as a pro.
If Keon can stay at 147, he has the potential to win a world title. At 154, I doubt that he could hang out with the best guys in this weight category. It is not built like that; There are real killers in this division. But if it remains at a Welter weight, this division is so weak that it can certainly capture a belt.
– heavy goods vehicle Jared Anderson (17-1, 15 kos) rebounded after his recent direct elimination defeat to defeat Marios Kollias (12-4-1, 10 KB) by an uninvited unanimous decision. The scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 98-92. Boxing News 24 had 8-2 for Anderson. In the last 10 seconds of the tenth, Kollias injured Anderson with a burst of punches after having trapped her against the strings. He was lucky for Jared that the Rafale came in the last seconds of the round rather than earlier because he looked ready to be eliminated.
– average weight Juan Carlos Guerra Jr (6-1-1, 2 kB) turned upside down the favorite Nico Ali Walsh (10-2, 5 KB), winning a shared decision of six towers. Guerra Jr, 29, used the non -stop pressure, after Walsh around the ring, throwing big blows, which is mostly lacking to impress the judges. The scores were 58-56, 58-56 for Guerra Jr. and 58-56 for Walsh.

Top Rank Hopes 2020 The Keyshawn Olympic silver medalist (12-0, 8 KB) will be their next mega-star. We saw this this week with the way the final conference took place. Davis, 25, received a King-Like royalty treatment.
If he lost tonight, as he did in his disappointing Olympic performance, there will be a lot of second to guess on his signature. Keyshawn is a good speaker, but he did not show that the spark should be a real superstar inside the ring.
9:00 p.m. Card and on ESPN & ESPN +
Denys Berinchyk against Keyshawn Davis
Xander Zayas vs spoom Slawa
Vito Mielnicki Jr against Connor Coyle
The real gem in this area is the light prospect Abdullah Mason (16-0, 14 KB), which should be the headliner but, surprisingly, is still fighting in the prelimes. The latest Mason fight in which he was abandoned a few times in the first round by Yohan Vasquez, could have frightened the first row. Tonight’s fight is a step back for the 20 -year -old Mason, with him fighting Manuel Jaies, a pointer weaker than his previous opponent, Vasquez.
