Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly aware of Manchester United’s interest in Nuno Mendes, but no offer has been presented so far.

Ruben Amorim is primarily looking for a left back. They are expected to secure the signing of left-back Diego Leon, who was recently in Manchester to conclude terms on his transfer from Cerro Porteno. The problem is that he will only be able to formalize the transfer in the summer, when he will be 18 years old.
The Red Devils must sell to buy this January transfer window. Casemiro and Marcus Rashford are believed to have been made available for a move, but no offers have yet been made for both.

United aim to accelerate negotiations for left-back Mendes amid growing competition from Real Madrid and Manchester City, Caught Offside revealed earlier this week.
Talks are underway for a potential deal which would see Mendes join the Old Trafford club. Although United appear to be leading the race, Real Madrid and Manchester City have also recently expressed interest in the defender over a possible transfer.
United’s pursuit remains at an advanced stage compared to their rivals, but no significant progress has been made. PSG are reportedly holding out on a £60m valuation for Mende, whose deal is done in 2026.
Real Madrid are in the market for a left-back and appear to be turning their attention away from Alphonso Davies, who is now considering extending his contract with Bayern Munich.
Amorim sees Mendes as the ideal fit for the left-back position, but he knows funds are tight after the club’s financial splurges during the summer window.
United have a good relationship with PSG but the Ligue 1 champions will still want to get the most out of the Portugal international.
