Wolverhampton Wanderers thought they had made their second signing this weekend, as it looked like Manu Silva was on his way to Molineux.
Unfortunately for Vitor Pereira, Benfica diverted the movementmeaning he will have to look elsewhere for a new signing.
There could also be activity the other way, as clubs circle a few current players on the team.
Rayan Ait-Nouri is the one who appears to be attracting the most interest, as a current Premier League team is showing a lot of interest in the defender.
Wolves could sell Rayan Ait-Nouri
According to Taken Offside, Manchester United has changed their focus on Ait-Nouri after missing Nuno Mendes.
The Old Trafford side are now making the Wolves star a priority and the report says Old Gold could accept an offer of around €55-60 million (£45-52 million) to let him leave the Midlands.
The Red Devils could also try to lower the price by offering Tyrell Malacia or Luke Shaw as part of the deal, although it remains to be seen whether Wolves would consider such a deal.
If that is the case, securing the services of Shaw, someone with plenty of Premier League experience, could be a wise move.
Why Luke Shaw would be a wonderful replacement for Ait-Nouri
The main concern regarding Shaw is his injury record. Since joining Man United from Southampton in 2014, the defender has missed a A staggering 324 matches for the Old Trafford side due to a succession of injury problems.

THE £150,000 per week The star can certainly offer a lot to Wolves if he can stay 100% fit, making him a more than capable replacement for Ait-Nouri.
Still only 28 years old, it feels like Shaw has been around forever. He still has plenty left in the tank and perhaps joining a club such as Wolves could be the catalyst for him to enjoy his football again.
Aït-Nouri will leave as soon as possible. The question is: will it be this month?
