This article contains spoilers For “Cobra Kai” season 6 Part 3.
Season 6 of “Cobra Kai” contains all the drama of the soap opera and the exaggerated action we want from this series, but it is also locked in the world of combat sports. From the creation of real martial artists like Brandon H. Lee to play bad guys to present a variety of combat styles, the creators of the YouTube series that became Netflix make respect for the athletes and disciplines that inspired the show. However, this does not mean that the spin-off “Karate Kid” is afraid to tackle the most controversial subjects in the field of combat, because season 6 explores the use of artificial intelligence as a training device .
“Cobra Kai” season 6, part 2, used AI to bring Mr. Miyagi from Pat Morita from between the dead, but the third – and final – of season 6 examines how the tool is used in the everyday company. While the training for the Sekai Taikai, Robby (Tanner Buchanan) and Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) use an AI program designed by Demetri (Gianni decenzo) and Hawk (Jacob Bertrand) to fight the digitized versions of their tournament opponents. Let’s just say that the simulations do not prepare them for the real Sekai Taikai, which makes them question the purpose of the training based on AI.
That said, the Robby and Miguel program use is not a futuristic science fiction concept. The AI has informed real fights for some time now, and its influence will probably increase as technology is progressing.
How combat sports use AI as in Cobra Kai season 6
The final event of season 6 of “Cobra Kai” sees Robby and Miguel use virtual reality headsets to engage in a combat simulation. This is similar to what is in the world of MMA, because fighters are known to use virtual reality to digitally create Octagon environments, allowing them to perfect their profession and prepare for fights without needing to train with a real human being.
Elsewhere, UFC stars like Connor McGregor and Urijah Faber have argued with IA robots while training for fights, proving that Hugh Jackman’s film “Real Steel” is a little closer to become A reality. Such a concept would have seemed foreign to people years ago, but it seems that robots play a crucial role in the development of fighters these days.
Although AI can improve the preparation of fights to a certain extent, it will undoubtedly continue to cause controversy due to the divisor nature of technology. One of the greatest criticisms is that it risks making more human roles obsolete and using robots and virtual reality to simulate the fight undoubtedly lends more credibility. However, only time will tell us if technology replaces coaches at all levels.
“Cobra Kai” is now streaming in its entirety on Netflix.
