While the role of zomato chief of staff became the city’s speech last year, a recent article on X added a refreshing touch to the story. Sanjay Krishna, a senior Kerala product manager, shared his experience by applying for the coveted position – even if he did not make the final cup.
“Sent the mail purely out of curiosity and ended up living one of the best interview experiences. Did not do the final cup, but the conversation and the comments have helped me enormously in recent months. Recognizing for this opportunity! Krishna wrote on X, reflecting on the process.
The position came in response to the CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, who recently shared updates on the company’s rigorous recruitment process. According to Goyal, more than 18,000 requests have been received, with interviews with more than 150 candidates. Among these, 30 people have received offers and 18 have already joined Zomato and his group societies like Blinkit in what Goyal describes as “high impact roles”. The new hires, revealed Goyal, include “the founders who exploded the startups of their dormitories, engineers who rewritten whole technological batteries for a weekend, operators who transformed chaos into a scale and a handful of young minds Brilliants fresh out of the university. »»
As for the positions of chief of staff, Goyal mentioned: “4 of the 18 people who have already joined us, work directly with me, and 2 of them are in chief of staff. And we haven’t finished. With more than 18,000 applications, we are still carefully moving on to this incredible talent swimming pool. »»
Zomato’s CEO said the joins were “very paid for the value they bring” and that no one has paid anything to work with them. When Goyal called for requests, the description indicates that the selected candidate would not be paid any salary for the first year, and that he should, in fact, pay the company RS 20 Lakh for the role. Goyal said that a hundred percent of the role costs are given to Feeding India. The candidate would only receive his salary at the start of the second year, and it is a discussion that he would reserve for the start of the year 2.
