Brendan Greene has the ambition to surpass his latest project, Battlegrounds de Playerunknown, or PUBG, which sold more than 90 million copies. Now he’s back with a prologue trailer: Go Wayback, who will strike Early steam access This summer.
This $ 20 game is a solo open world survival game where your goal is to resist elements in a severe wild environment.
Based on Amsterdam Playerunknown Productions has been working on it for years, and now the company has images at stake in its last trailer. It gives an extensive overview of the basic proclastic gameplay where players can explore a vast wild nature in constant evolution while balancing adventure and discovery with complex survival systems such as caloric contribution, body temperature regulation and the discovery and maintenance of shelters.
Prologue: Go Wayback! is a solo emerging game and a showcase for ML (machine learning) land generation technology. He continues to explore Greene from the emerging gameplay, offering a world where there are not two trips.
The players start each session from nothing, forging their own step by learning to navigate, adapt and survive. Each race is defined by Discovery and the players can assess the landscape to find resources and, finally, reach the weather tower: the only extraction point.
Survival in the prologue is dictated by the environment itself. The terrain is large and unpredictable, shaped by a geological system focused on automatic learning where no route is predetermined. Players must read the landscape, choosing safe paths forward, without getting lost. The weather is just as relentless and storms, temperature drops and blizzards can be disastrous for the player, with early alert panels only visible for those who learn to recognize them.
Beyond elements, hunger and cold constitute constant threats, demanding prudent strategies of rationing and refuge. Navigating around the world will require skills and master orientation with a card and a compass, read the environment for resources and make critical survival decisions at each stage.
Prologue is also a trip to Playerunknown Productions and the studio community. The game is under development to evolve with the contribution of users of the early access launch and the studio will work permanently with the community to refine the prologue and add new features and mechanisms to the game.
The game is expected to start Steam Early Access in summer later this year.
Melba engine and Artemis project
Prologue: Go Wayback! is the first step in a new trip to Playerunkown Productions that will culminate in the ultimate goal of the studio: the “Artemis” project. Prologue combines an unreal engine with personalized automatic learning (ML) to generate cards and can generate millions of different cards with realistic terrain to explore. An evolution of this technology will be a highly specialized internal game engine, “Melba” which will be incorporated into the two games to follow prologue, including a title and a “Artemis” project still annular – a world of solid sandbox designed for emerging interactions, the creativity of players and ultimate freedom.
Join the trip
The community is an essential element in the development of prologue and this new trip to Playerunknown Productions. The development team is delighted to work in close collaboration with its players base to help forge this new direction and those who wish to help Discord.
