Anthony Gordon withdrew from the England team due to an injury before their World Cup qualification against Latvia.
Newcastle winger suffered a hip injury during the 2-0 Friday victory against Albania after having come as a substitute.
Although he was only on the field for 15 minutes, the 24 -year -old was seen to be a box at the final whistle before going down the tunnel.
On Sunday, in an official statement, England said: “Anthony Gordon retired from three Lions camp after being injured in the 2-0 victory on Friday evening on Albania.
“The attacker returned to Newcastle United for a more in -depth assessment.”
After a medical scan, Gordon will continue his rehabilitation in Newcastle, declaring him getting the match on Monday against Latvia in Wembley – the second match under the new manager Thomas Tuchel.

After Friday’s match, Tuchel commented Gordon’s injury, saying: “He looks injured. First, I thought it was his stomach but it’s his hip and it doesn’t look good. It’s a bit worrying, yes.”
Gordon, who was suspended for the final victory of the Newcastle Carabao Cup last Sunday, should also miss his first game after the international break, a home game against Brentford on April 2.
However, if he recovers in time, he could be available for selection against Leicester City on April 7.
The injury is a setback for Gordon, who hoped to use the Latvia match as an opportunity to claim his complaint for more playing time under Tuchel.
The manager of England had expressed a certain dissatisfaction with the performance of the departure wingers Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford after the victory in Albania, suggesting that there could be room for the changes.
“We hope for more impact on these positions,” said Tuchel. “More dribbles and more aggressive run towards the box. In general, it was missing. The chances come from small races behind the line. They were not as decisive as they can.
“Our two wingers who started were not as impactful as possible in club football. I don’t know why we had trouble bringing them the ball.
“We lack the ball race. It was a little too much passage, not enough dribbling, not aggressive enough towards the goal. They trained very well, they were decisive in training.
“That is why I also think they were deserving [to start]They were very good in recent weeks with their clubs. We will continue to encourage them. »»
