Istanbul – An earthquake with a preliminary scale of 6.2 rocked on Wednesday, said the disaster and the emergency management agency of Turkey on Wednesday. There has been no report of serious damage or major injuries, but many people have poured buildings in Istanbul in fear, looking for information on their phone and calling dear beings.
Dozens of people were injured while they were trying to flee panic buildings, some jumping out windows, said the governor of Istanbul, but none of them critically.
The earthquake had a deep depth of about 6 miles, according to the United States Geological Survey. His epicenter was about 25 miles southwest of Istanbul in the Marmara Sea.

The earthquake was felt in several neighboring provinces and in the city of Izmir, about 340 miles south of Istanbul. The earthquake struck at 12:49 p.m. on a public holiday when many children were out of school and celebrated in the streets, forcing the authorities in Istanbul to cancel events.
“At 3:12 p.m., 51 replicas – the largest of which was 5.9 magnitude – had been recorded,” wrote the Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, on social networks.
Yerlikaya said the authorities earlier that the authorities had not received collapsed buildings. He said to Hoberturk Television, however, there had been damage to buildings.
“Due to panic, 151 of our citizens were injured to jump from Heights,” said the office of the Governor of Istanbul in a statement. “Their treatments are underway in hospitals, and they are not in a deadly state.”

Many residents flocked to parks, school lessons and other open zones to avoid being near buildings in the event of collapse or subsequent replicas. Some people have launched tents in parks.
“Thank goodness, there does not seem to be any problems at the moment,” said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a marking national sovereignty and children’s holidays. “May God protect our country and our people from all kinds of calamities, disasters, accidents and problems.”
