“Spider-Man” is one of the most popular superheroes of all time, and which is quite versatile with regard to adaptations. We have had several “Spider-Man” programs and films, from live action to animation and video games, each with a unique socket, a visual style and a tone. Peter Parker, childish of Tom Holland, is very different from the tragic and tragic version of Jake Johnson and the tragic version of Tobey Maguire of the character (which the public voted as the best live action Peter Parker).

Even in animation, we have seen many different interpretations of voice actors through games, television and cinema, depicting Peter as an older man, a newcomer who has just started with his powers or an established hero. Although there were many animated “Spider-Man” television shows, each with its own fans and defenders, a program is generally excluded from the conversation-“Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” by MTV.
It was a wild experience. The show featured Neil Patrick Harris in the role of Peter Parker, in a story intended to serve as a continuation of the first film “Spider-Man” by Sam Raimi. Except that it was also a loose adaptation of the comic strip of “Ultimate Spider-Man” of that of Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley, Stuart Immonen and David Lafuente. These two approaches never fully correspond, and finally, the series simply diverted too much from Raimi films – which also traced everything in the second film.

The show is undoubtedly better known for its daring use of the cons cel-shaded, unusual at the time in a high-level cartoon like this, and which seems completely dated today. However, not only does this cartoon have a very unique look, but there are moments in the cartoon of 13 short-term episodes where you can almost trace a line between its visual experiment and what has ultimately become “Spider-Man: in the payment of the spider”.
A show before his time
The cast of the voice of “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” was also rather unusual. In addition to Neil Patrick Harris (who would come back to the role in the video game “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions”), we have Rob Zombie Play Curt Connors, alias the Lizard. Silver Sable is played by Virginia Madsen, while Kathy Griffin and Jeremy Piven portrayed the ducts. Strangely, although the show is not really on the biggest Marvel universe, he presented an appearance of Kingpin, curiously played by Michael Clarke Duncan – who played the character in the film “Daredevil” not related to 2003.

Although the show would have had great creative freedom, there was a warning. “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” was not allowed to include the character of Aunt May because the leaders of MTV feared that an elderly character would alienate the young target audience. However, there was no shortage of comics characters, from Kraven the Hunter to Electro – who obtains the most Sam Raimi representations, here redesigned as an intimidated foreigner who ultimately becomes a victim of his own anger in the best episode of the series. It is a representation that has not been captured properly on the screen, except in a strange way by a tribute to electro in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
Unfortunately, the show was canceled due to bad grades, and “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” was left on a shocking cliffhanger. After having been deceived by Kraven the hunter and the dungeons by thinking that Mary Jane had been murdered, Peter loses faith in her hero’s abilities and decides to throw her costume – a point of history that would have linked to Raimi’s “Spider -Man” “if this film had not contradicted most of the history of this cartoon.
