Donald Trump proposed to increase taxes on the richest Americans, in a violation of the Republican Orthodoxy he hopes could pay for wider tax alternatives in the Congress.
The American president proposed an increase in the tax on people earning more than $ 2.5 million per year to almost 40%, when he started to discuss with the Congress Republicans on the details of a new tax package which he hopes to adopt this year.
“The president plans to authorize the rate on people who earn $ 2.5 million or more to return from 37% to 39.6% before 2017.
Trump’s proposal would mark a major break in the traditional republican approach to low wages – and has aroused criticism from certain right -wing groups that have said that this is more like a democratic policy.
