The sovereignty of Bill Mott finished with a fulfillment to provide the Godolphin operation by Sheikh Mohammed with a first success of the Kentucky Derby in Churchill Downs.

The triumph of sovereignty completed a fantastic on Saturday for Godolphin after the previous success of the Charlie Appleby court in the 2000 Guinea in Newmarket.

“If I had to choose someone to win Kentucky Derby with it would be Mr. Mott. We have been a team for some time and it is more than a dream come true to do it with him and the people of Godolphin, who were very useful throughout my career.”
