THE We were liars The final of season 1, entitled “My friends are lying in the sun,” left the door open for more from the Sinclair family. However, a second possible season would not follow in Cadence, because its history has since ended.

In summer 17, Cadence begins to assemble the night of fire, initially realizing that she left family dogs in the house while he was burning. After a conversation with Harris, she remembers that beloved pets were not the only things that perished in fire.
The liars end up saying to Cadence what happened, revealing that she was the only one who had left the fire living. Which means that she spoke to Johnny, Mirren and Gat’s Ghosts all summer.

The rest of the episode takes place in summer 17 while Cadence says farewell to the ghosts of lies one by one. Now that she remembers, they are able to cross on the other side. The cadence mother, Penny (Caitlin Fitzgerald) also offers him the choice to continue to live as Sinclair or to go from the family following the tragedy. Cadence chooses the latter.
“I know the loss of great love now and I know the work of reconstruction of ashes. Even in the shadow thrown by what was standing, ”she says. “I was once Sinclair and I guess I will always be a liar because liars, you should know, are forever.”
Once the story of cadence ends, another begins. The show cuts to Carrie (Mame Gummer) Take Percocet, confirming that she has relapsed.
“I thought you’re gone,” she said. Johnny appears, revealing that Carrie also spoke to her son’s ghost for the whole summer of 17.
“I don’t think I can,” he replied at the end of the season.
