Khloe Kardashian continues to receive criticism after calling Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass a “joke” for allegedly cutting the city’s fire department budget months before the devastating wildfires.
“Community” actress Yvette Nicole Brown is the latest to criticize Khloé and did so by reminding the reality star of her family’s excessive water consumption.
Khloé isn’t the only Kardashian to face criticism amid the LA wildfires, like her sister Kim Kardashian was also criticized for promoting her brand SKIMS during hell.

Yvette Nicole Brown Reminds Khloé Kardashian About Her Family’s Water Waste
On Monday, Brown shared a screenshot of a photo from August 23, 2022, rolling stone article with the headline “Kardashians among LA’s worst water wasters, using 333,000 gallons above county line in June.”
The article excerpt claimed that the Kardashian family’s use of private jets was the “tip of the iceberg” regarding their water waste, adding that it showed their “willful ignorance of climate change.”
In the caption of Brown’s post, she had a message for Khloé. The 53 year old man wrote“This is from 2022, when Los Angeles was in the middle of a drought. Every citizen was asked to conserve for the sake of everyone else. You know, because of the fires?”
She concluded: “This is how some citizens responded to the request. Is this a joke @khloekardashian?”

Fans react to Yvette Nicole Brown’s post
Many of Brown’s followers reacted to her post by congratulating her and calling out Khloé Kardashian.
One person commented: “See what happens when you talk loud and get it wrong, @khloekardashian??? Smh.”
Another person expressed disappointment that Khloé has hundreds of millions of followers on Instagram. They wrote: “Also the problem is Khloe has 304 million followers. Damn!!!!!”
A third follower asked Khloé to keep the Los Angeles mayor’s name out of her mouth. They wrote: “Now keep Ms. Bass’ name out of your mouth, Khloe. »
A fourth person thanked Brown for sharing insightful content. They commented: “@yvettenicolebrown your content, from social media to everything you do in the entertainment industry, is always relevant.”

Khloé Kardashian calls out the mayor of Los Angeles
Last Friday, Khloé sparked controversy when she called Mayor Karen Bass a “joke” in a post on her Instagram Stories.
Khloé slammed Bass after city fire chief Kristin Crowley told her Fox 11 that the mayor reduced the city’s ability to fight the fire by pushing for significant budget cuts months before the wildfires began.
Crowley also claimed she asked for more money more than a month ago because some fire trucks needed to be repaired immediately and fire hydrants needed to be repaired. However, his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Khloé shared a screenshot of Crowley’s interview on her Instagram Stories and expressed her support for the fire chief.

She wrote: “I stand with you Chief Crowley!!! You told the truth and you had tears in your eyes because I can tell you didn’t even mean that but it was THE TRUTH! !!!”
The 40-year-old added: “Thank you for being honest @losangelesfiredepartment Chief Crowley.”
She concluded by calling out Bass, writing, “Mayor Bass, you are a joke!!!!”
Khloé Kardashian criticized for calling out Mayor Karen Bass
Following Khloé’s post, many liberals took to social media to criticize her for quickly calling out Bass but failing to do the same with other controversial politicians and public figures.
One person in X wrote“It’s interesting how Khloe Elon Musk Kardashian was very quick to call Mayor Karen Bass a ‘JOKE,’ but didn’t smoke for Trump, JD Vance or Elon in the last election.”
A second person out of observed“It’s something about the way Khloe Kardashian reposted on IG nothing but content from right-wing MAGA influencers bashing Mayor Bass in light of these devastating fires that doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve never once seen the former mayor called Garcetti that way…”

Amid the criticism, Khloé, who shares two children with NBA star Tristan Thompson, also received support from people who felt she did the right thing, calling out Bass, who they said should resign.
Kim Kardashian criticized for promoting clothing brand SKIMS amid wildfires
Khloé isn’t the only Kardashian to receive criticism amid the wildfires. Her sister, Kim Kardashian, was also criticized after promoting the SKIMS winter sale.
After Kim shared the sale on Instagram Stories, Los Angeles writer and comedian Meredith Lynch called her out, accusing her of prioritizing her brand over the devastating wildfires.
A frustrated Lynch said“Kim Kardashian, who has such a huge reach, who has such a huge base in Los Angeles, I think it’s crazy that they’re not saying, ‘Hey, let me use my platform to deploy as many resources as possible.'”
She added: “No, instead it says ‘buy SKIMS’.”
Fans joined Lynch in criticizing Kim, calling the latter’s post insensitive and accusing her of not caring about others.
