A city in Massachusetts will hold an audience on Monday to determine whether its administrator will be dismissed after a dispute between him and the local police service on a Trump flag, according to local reports.
In January, West Boylston’s police chief Dennis Minnich was visiting the department when city administrator James Ryan apparently spotted a Trump flag in the police gymnasium, which is private, and ordered Minnich To withdraw it the next day, reported Fox 25 Boston.
Ryan said the flag was a violation of civil rights and told Minnich to send him to his office, according to Fox 25.
“I never said to the officers [they] I couldn’t hang a President Trump. I don’t think it’s legitimate, “Minnich told Ryan’s order to withdraw the flag and put it back to the Ryan office.” I think it’s illegal. It is illegal for him to demand that I put it back. It is certainly not well. “”

The police chief claims that Ryan then discreetly sent another employee to the police service after the hours to see if the flag had been withdrawn. This employee discovered that a new Trump flag replaced the old one, Fox 25 reported.
Minnich killed the two flags but has since filed a complaint against Ryan, who would have been dismissed after the dispute.

“He lied to me. He questioned my integrity,” Minnich told Fox 25. “Everyone has his opinion, but I don’t trust him. concerns me, hostile. [I’m] Either report to the board of directors of Selectmen, the president where there will be problems, because I do not trust the guy. “”
Minnich did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital investigation.

Ryan’s lawyer John Clifford was not immediately available to comment, but Clifford confirmed to Fox 25 that the board of directors of West Boylston decided to end Ryan. Fox News Digital contacted the Select West Boylston card.
“As absurd as these allegations are, the Board of Directors decided to end Mr. Ryan only on the basis of the allegations of Chef Minnich,” said Clifford at the point of sale in a press release. “It is not an audience, because the result is a conclusion before.”

Clifford also said that Minnich had refused to be present at the hearing on Monday.

“Chef Minnich has chosen to transform this into a political circus, annoying himself and West Boylston in the process,” said Clifford. “Chef Minnich makes several references to his” professionalism “as a chief, but apparently does not understand or does not respect the regular procedure, including the right to confront his accuser.”
Minnich has also apparently refused to meet Ryan in private, according to Clifford.

“Jacques [Ryan] has never taken a stand for or against President Trump or any candidate or political party, “said Clifford.” That being said, the West Boylston police station is a public building, a final point. If chief Minnich had engaged the city administrator in a rational or thoughtful dialogue, they could have solved this problem in several ways. “”
Monday’s hearing covering Ryan’s possible termination is scheduled for 4 p.m.
