Pep Guardiola admits that his Manchester City team has “10 finals” if they want to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Speaking after the 1-0 defeat of City against the first four rivals of Nottingham Forest on Saturday, Guardiola said that his team had to start winning matches if they had to stay in the running for the European Elite Club competition.
With 10 championship games to play, City is currently in fourth place, just one point ahead of Chelsea and Brighton and four points behind the forest.

The city boss believed that his team had dominated the match against the Nuno Espirito Santo team, but said that the wasting possession late finally cost its side.
“It was a tight match. We have very well controlled the transitions. We have not created a lot of chance, but we defended very well, “Guardiola told TNT Sports.
“But in the end, we lost a transition, we lost the easy ball and they mark.
“They defended very well and we could not find the precise [finish] At the last moment.
“We have 10 games to qualify, you have to win matches to qualify [for the Champions League]. And we are going to the next one.
Guardiola also believes that the League becomes more competitive each year and recognizes the task that his players have by the end of the season.
“We knew before our arrival that the Premier League every season is better and better,” added Guardiola.
“We have 10 finals, and the next we are starting.”
City is the next in action when they welcome Brighton on Saturday.
