Another long race for mid-season victories helped Man City provided an early title evening in 2021.
15 consecutive victories left City in an imperative position before March 2021, with citizens 14 points before being beaten by the nearest Challengers Manchester United to extend their expectations for the trophy.
In the end, it was a united defeat that confirmed the return of the city to the top of the English game after missing in Liverpool the previous year, as the victory of Leicester City to Old Trafford in mid-May, Guardiola a third high-flying English title.

Their sadly famous 2-2 draw has become a celebration of the party thanks to a result earlier during the day, the rivals closest to Chelsea losing against Newcastle in St James’ Park, leaving only a UNSAL only requiring a point.
Of course, Arsène Wenger’s men have avoided defeat in their last four games – although they are late in two of them – to create a new story in Highbury.
