Hi friends! I hope you have a wonderful morning. Today, I share a complete review of the new Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale! It is a super fun complex adapted to children that the whole family will love! Let’s take a look at this criticism to see what we thought so that you could see if it would be a Vacay that your family would like!.
We spent 3 days and 2 nights to the brand new Great Wolf Lodge, which is essentially the dream of a child who became reality. The girls lost their heads! I had seen some articles on Great Wolf Lodge over the years and I was finally delighted to take the crew. When I discovered this summer that we had one, I reserved our rooms on the first day when they opened the system for reservations. The site crashed several times during the process. I was able to hang a place for the end of the month, which ended up being their big opening weekend. The rates of the play were fairly fair and I was happy to pay them.

Great Wolf Lodge is a family complex with a “Campfire” atmosphere in Lodge. Both Wolf, Wiley and Violet mascots and other charactersTake a walk in the property for photo sessions, and they have a lot of fun amenities.
Activities at Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale
I was quite blown away by the amount of activities they offer on site. They have a mini golf course, a gold panoramic, an exploration activity of mines, an interior string route, a mini bowling alley, a scam wall and a complete water park. The water park is controlled by the climate at 86 degrees all year round and has various slides, a lazy river, a wave pool, a giant splash cushion and a baby / toddler area.
Inside the complex, they also have a construction workshop, a children’s space (where they offer childcare services), a candy and magic store.
Magiquet ended up being one of the greatest successes with children. It is an indoor treasure hunt using magic chopsticks (which you buy for about $ 20). You pay an additional $ 15 to participate in the magic game, and as you find different places throughout the property – they are marked with a small green leaf – you quickly have your wand and something will happen.
It can be something small, like an image on the wall lights up or will do something quite intense, like the giant animatronic dragon that will come to life. You must follow a “quest path”, collect different runes and objects, and fight against different characters on the screens of the property, and it can turn into a very involved game. This part was really magical and the children all over the world ran by waving their baguettes in various objects, then heading towards the gate to see what they had to do next. It was very Harry Potter.
On Saturday morning, the girls and I hit the road early enough and made the quick trip to Scottsdale. We registered in the hotel, where the girls received pretty wolf ear strips,
And as our room was not entirely ready, we spent an hour at the Arcade, which is conveniently open 24/7. 🙂 I managed to win slush lazy for each of them from one of the claw machines and they were quite pumped.
We recorded in our rooms and took dinner on site before heading for the water park. We spent a few hours jumping in the waves and playing on the splash cushion, and the girls set up the slides to bedtime. The pilot entered the room when we were all crushed, and we spent the following two days alternating between the water park and the interior activities. It was an excellent family stay and the ideal way to celebrate the end of airline training.
The pros
Activities. I was surprised by the number of activities included with the residence permit on the property. The water park was included, where we spent hours every day, and they also offer a daily schedule with various activities on time. These include character greetings, facial painting, tale time, a dancing evening with wolves, bingo, etc. Some of the other activities were an additional purchase, such as the bowling alley, the string route, the gold panoramic, the rocky wall, etc. I did not find that the prices were unreasonable for what they offered. You can buy a wolf pass for each child who understands everything, but I did not know how much we really do, so I got out.
The water park. The girls loved the water park and we literally spent hours here every day. There was so much to do to everyone, and I think it’s perfect for babies to adolescents.
The disadvantages
Food. The food was too expensive and horrible. We usually love hotel food – girls have a serious obsession with bedroom service – and we can easily find something we all like. It was not at all the case here. Even if you compare it to Disney Food, it is also too expensive, but at least it’s good food and they have tons of options. I found that the options were very limited, not very healthy / fresh and too expensive. I would say that the fries were great but you cannot live fries for 3 days. 😉 (Liv even said that the pizza was coarse, which I never heard it said before.)
Here are the saddest tacos that you will never see in your life. They were called “Fajita Veggie Tacos” which were on very small tortillas, filled with Pico Salsa and one or two slices of pepper on each taco.
We are in Arizona. We do many tacos and it was only an abomination.
Great Wolf Lodge was obviously still working some of the folds since its opening. It was not unusual to try something (like an automatic dispenser or a drinking machine) to find that it was broken. We also found that the rooms were like this. The duvet was half a thickness. I have the worst time to sleep when I have the impression that the blanket is only a sheet. So I take towels from the bathroom and covers myself in lol towels. They also had a smoke detector in the room that flashes a super shiny light every 10 seconds. We did not sleep much the first night.
What’s nearby?
The good news is that Prep & Pastry, Fashion Square and more are only 12 minutes away. There are also so many impressive catering options nearby. It is undeniable that Scottsdale has a ton of wonderful food. So I think it is worth managing for real meals and depending on the Great Wolf Lodge for bite and fast snacks. Great Wolf Lodge Scottsdale is very conveniently located near a variety of attractions that make it a perfect base for family pleasure. A few minutes by car, you can explore the Desert Ridge market for shopping and restaurants, or take a look in the underwater world of the Udysea aquarium. For those looking to enjoy nature, Pinnacle Peak Park has many panoramic and picturesque hiking trails with a breathtaking view of the desert.
We have verified the brand new SCOTTSDALE PREP & PASTRY location and ordered all of our favorites. The chickpea jamming is amaaaazing.

How does Great Wolf Lodge compare to Disney?
They are completely different animals. (<- Do you see what I did there?) Disney is a machine so well oiled and works well and effectively, with many magic keys everywhere. Obviously, it has existed for a long time, and any problem of teeth has indeed been resolved.
Great Wolf Lodge does not try to be Disney, and what they do is super fun and they do it well. But it’s just not the same kind of experience. I mean, we have always spent an absolutely wonderful moment, but this is not one of those places where we are like “OMG I can’t wait to go back”. Overall, I think it was worth it. I am sure that the girls will want to return at some point. I highly recommend it, even once. It is always a very cool experience.
