Spencer Pratt is asking her TikTok followers to help her raise money after losing her home to the catastrophic wildfires raging in the greater Los Angeles area.
In a video shared via TikTok On Friday, January 10, Pratt, 41, asked his followers to watch and like a previous video shared on his account, which featured the song “What It Feels Like” by Aly & AJ.
“I’ll get up to $1,100 from TikTok if it’s one of the top 10 most liked TikToks with that song, so more likely $200, but it could go up to $1,100,” he said. he explained in the video. “So if you are bored, please like this latest video. It’s actually a great song and Aly and AJ are wearing Pratt Daddy Crystals. My friend Amber goes to all their shows and gives them all the crystals, so it’s kind of an authentic promo since they’re wearing my crystals. I want to get that $1,100 too.
In a later video, Pratt also asked his followers to add his wife Heidi Montag on Spotify and other streaming platforms.
However, Pratt’s request for help via social media received some backlash.
“Some evil monster just wrote on my Instagram and tagged me, ‘Of course Spencer will milk her burned down house for every dollar it’s worth.’ Um. That’s right. Let me calculate every dollar I can get,” Pratt said in a video addressing the backlash, shared via. TikTok Friday.
“How come you have no brains?” Are you just the stupidest living creatures? he continued. “Of course, I’m trying to have money to pay for my life with my family because our house and all our belongings burned down. And if I can do it on social media, where I continually earn the only money I’ve made for years, showing my journey of our burning house and all our belongings, don’t you think I’ll continue to get value for every dollar? »
Pratt concluded: “I’d rather have my house and no social media, let me tell you. I’d rather have everything in my house and delete all those stupid apps. I would much prefer that. So yes, I will continue to “milk” our misery on social networks.
He also advised fans how not to help him and Montag, 38, including watching The hillsin which Pratt and Montag starred in the 2000s.
“I’d rather you watch anything in the world, but The hills. Don’t give this show a single dollar, or give this narrator a single brain cell listening to her voice,” he said in a video shared via TikTokreferring to Lauren Conrad. “No, there is no residue. So pretty much I’d rather you watch the paint dry and tag me [you] looking at a wall – that would help me more in life. Don’t waste your energy watching The hills think it helps our lives.
Pratt and Montag have been married since 2008. The hills Alumni lost their homes to the Pacific Palisades wildfires, which first broke out on Tuesday, January 7. By the time their house burned, the couple had already evacuated with their three children: sons Gunner, 6, and Ryker, 13 months.
In a video shared by Montag via TikTok on Thursday, January 9, the couple revealed the few items left from their home after the fire, all contained in a single plastic bag.
“The Hummingbird Pot – with nectar cooked in it,” Pratt explains in the video, with “a [rubber] garden snake, a garden crystal, [another] crystal from the garden, Ryker’s shovel from the garden and broken pieces.
When the couple packed up their house to evacuate, they clearly couldn’t take all their belongings. In another social media video, Montag explained that “the craziest thing about building a fire [is] your brain panics.
She added: “It’s so painful to tidy a house. I mean, I only have two pairs of jeans and two shirts. I have so many more clothes for the kids. I say to myself, “Why didn’t I take more?” Luckily I caught whatever and it’s such a blessing and the main thing is that we’re safe.
Despite their struggles, Pratt provided his fans with an uplifting update, thanking them for their support after his wife Heidi Montag’s album, “Superficial,” climbed the iTunes Store charts following his requests help on social networks.
“God. Bless. Y’all. Number 15 on the iTunes Store. It’s a fucking miracle,” Pratt said via a Instagram posted on Saturday January 11th. “If we put this at number one, it’s official – Heidi is a pop superstar legend. She enters the history books. It’s already in my history books, obviously.
Pratt went on to say that Montag’s album climbing the iTunes Store charts is “maybe the best thing I could have ever dreamed of…besides still having my house and all my possessions.”
“But don’t worry, we’re about to get rich and famous and I won’t forget you when I’m rich and famous,” he continued. “I will be the most grateful rich celebrity you have ever supported in your lies. I love you all, thank you very much.
