The Prime Minister of Greenland rejected on Sunday against the statements of US President Donald Trump that America will take control of the island territory.
Greenland, a huge island rich in resources in the Atlantic, is an autonomous territory of Denmark, an ally of NATO in the United States. Trump wants to annex the territory, saying that it is necessary for national security purposes.
“President Trump says the United States will have Greenland.” Let me be clear: the United States will not get it. said in a Facebook publication.
“We must not act out of fear. We must respond with peace, dignity and unity. And it is through these values that we clearly, clearly, clearly and calmly show the American president that Greenland is ours,” added Nielsen.
“It was like that yesterday. It’s like that today. And that’s how it will be in the future,” he concluded his post.
Nielsen’s message occurs a day after the American president told NBC News that The military force was not outside the table with regard to the acquisition of Greenland.

In the interview on Saturday, Trump made it possible that “I think there is a good possibility that we can do it without military force”.
“It is world peace, it is international security,” he said, but added: “I don’t take anything from the table.”
Greenland residents and politicians reacted angrily to Trump’s repeated suggestions, Danish leaders also posting.
